A Breath of Fresh Air.  | in the same way

A Breath of Fresh Air.

Or, hot air in this case. ‘Cause it’s certainly hot in New Mexico! I had to keep telling myself before we landed how hot it was gonna be in Texas and New Mexico, but I don’t think I was ready for the change. In Costa Rica, it was hot, but it was also humid too. Here it is a dry hot. And boy, my lips and nose, as well as my hands, are taking it to heart.

My lips, after the first day, got cracked and I had to borrow some lip balm from Jocelyn! My nose, every time I sniffed, felt like it was gonna start bleeding. I used to get nose bleeds back in Indiana, and only got one in the two years we were in Costa Rica. Thankfully, it hasn’t bled any yet! I hope it won’t. Need to rub some coconut oil in my nostrils to give them some moisture, methinks! ;) I need to get some of Tropical Traditions coconut oil lotion again for my hands. I loved that stuff. I had gotten a brand new bottle before we left home, but I gave it to Amanda since she needed some. I am nice like that. :) Or, I try to be.

Anyhoo, yeah. Well, the dogs are enjoying the open and fenced-in backyard here at Auntie’s house, and I am glad they can run around. :) I snapped some photos of them the other morning, playing and sniffing. :)

Yep. When we were in TX last month the same thing happened to us. All of us had chapped lips (to the point I had to force the kids to put on lip balm often.. the skin around their lips were even horribly chapped), we had a nose bleed, and I used lotion like crazy. Our skin was SO not use to that dryness.
